Medizinische Informatik, Statistik und Dokumentation

Institute staff teach students basic aspects of medical informatics and biostatistics and introduce them to scientific work. Courses are augmented by events on teaching and learning methods at the hospital and in private practices.

Interaction: Teaching and research

A fundamental understanding of information technologies and biostatistics is a prerequisite for entering the world of medical science. This is reflected in the incorporation of these disciplines into the different curricula and the extension program Digitalization in Medicine as well as in postgraduate education and statistical courses (held on request). Since both IT and biostatistics are always changing, a constant interaction between research and teaching in these areas is indispensable to the teaching of current developments and their impact on medical practice and medical research.
